LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!
Here are some things you can do today to promote safety, respect and justice in Novato:

• Write/email a pro-diversity message to school board members and let them know that you support inclusive diversity and respect education. Short, positive messages of support are best.

• Write editorial letters to the Marin IJ or the Novato Advance voicing your support of inclusive diversity education support and educational policies that promote respect and equity for ALL. advanceletters@novatoadvance.com or www.marinij.com
  
  
• Volunteer with your school's PTA. Get involved with your school's Site Leadership Team or NUSD committees like the Diversity Advisory, ELAC or NSEAC. Let your child's teacher and principal know that you support diversity education that includes all our community.
  
  
• Support progressive candidates for School Board and City Council.  Know candidates' positions so that you can make an informed decision. Encourage your elected officials to show leadership in promoting safe and respectful schools and community.
  
  
• Support school board members who have shown leadership in promoting safer and more respectful schools by voting to adopt  inclusive diversity materials and school policies.
  
  
• Complete our membership form! Though donations are always appreciated there is no financial obligation. Join the USSN Coalition as an individual, an organization or both by filling out and emailing the membership form (home page.)
  

• Become an active USSN volunteer by joining the USSN steering and/or the USSN dinner committees. Becoming a liaison from USSN to your NUSD school is another way to you can get involved.

• Attend/support school and community events that promote acceptance and respect for ALL.
